Uriel Cohen, President and Founder of Tikvat Yisrael, serves as the Director of Development for the Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan. He also serves in leadership and teaching capacities at Kehilat Hadar and Congregation Shaare Zedek. A member of Cohort 5 of the Day School Leadership Training Institute, he has also worked at Hillel:The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, Perry Davis Associates, the National Jewish Outreach Program, and the Columbia Institute for Tele-information at Columbia University. He is an Eagle Scout, graduated the University of Pennsylvania spends his free time enjoying the outdoors, sports and music.

Jodi Friedman is a native of Orange County, CA. She received her BA in Sociology from Brandeis University and her MA in Modern Jewish history concentrating in Eastern Europe from Yeshiva University's Bernard Revel Graduate School. She is currently a Recruitment Associate at the Development Resource Group, an executive search firm for nonprofit organizations. She is an active member of the Brandeis Alumni Admissions Council and the Advancing Jewish Professionals board.

Ira Hofer is a graduate the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Material Science and Finance, and is currently enrolled in medical school at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.

Marc Melzer is a litigation associate with a law firm in midtown Manhattan. He graduated in 2005 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and in 2002 from Princeton University with an A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He serves on the leadership team of Kehilat Hadar and is an itinerant Jewish a cappella singer.

Steven Schwartzberg graduated in 2001 from Harvard University, where he served on Hillel's Leadership Council for over two years, and was involved in many other campus community service organizations. After two years with Bain & Company, he is now an Assistant Manger for Marketing at American Express in New York.

Andrea Steiner is a legal recruiter at Meridian Legal Search. She received a degree in Media Studies from Queens College in 1999, and was active in Hillel, including a position as a UJA Campus Chairperson for Outreach. Andrea is a founding member and team co-captain of Improvodox, a non-denominational Jewish comedy improv troupe which performs Chicago-style longform improv on Jewish and secular themes in the New York metro area.

Avrum Tilman

Shannon Sarna is the External Relations Coordinator for The Samuel Bronfman Foundation. Prior to her time in NYC, she lived in Washington, DC where worked for Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, most recently as the Development Associate for Donor Relations. She is a graduate of Smith College where she studied Comparative Government and Spanish Language and Literature. She is an avid cake decorator and all around bake-tress in her spare time.

Angelika Schlanger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, where she double-majored in French and Intellectual History. She has recently joined the Anti-Defammation League as the Assistant Director of Regional Operations. She is active in a number of non-profit organizations and mostly enjoys organizing events that celebrate the great diversity of the Jewish community.

Eli Sacks is a consultant for non-profit organizations. He graduated from Harvard University, where he studied Jewish intellectual history and was active in campus Jewish life. He is also an alumnus of the Bronfman Fellowships in Israel, and will pursue a Ph.D. in Jewish Studies.

Rabbi Jason Herman was ordained at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah and currently serves as Rabbi and spiritual leader of Congregation Beth Israel - West Side Jewish Center in midtown Manhattan. He previously served as Rabbinic intern at Netivot Shalom in Teaneck, NJ , Rabbinic intern at the Center for Leadership and Learning (CLAL), as Rabbinic intern at Congregation Ahavat Achim in Highland Park, NJ , and has taught at the Rebecca and Israel Ivry Prozdor at JTS. Following graduation from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania , from which he holds a BA in International Studies, and a BS in Economics, he worked for two years as an investment banker. He has also lectured at various synagogues and universities.
