Tikvat Yisrael is thrilled to announce Shabbat TY 18

Sorry, registration is closed for dinner. Everyone is welcome to join for services at 7:00.

When: Friday June 11th 2010, 7 PM
Where: Congregation Ansche Chesed
251 W. 100th Street at West End Avenue
Cost: $25 through June 7th, $30 after. Registration closes on 6/9 at midnight. See below for payment instructions.

This program will feature:

* THREE prayer services:
-- Traditional Egalitarian: Ansche Chesed and Kehilat Hadar will be teaming up to provide a spirited, exciting, traditional egalitarian prayer experience.
-- Kehilat Romemu(liberal): seeks to integrate body, heart, mind and spirit in Jewish practice. Unabashedly eclectic, our services reflect the Kabbalistic model of the four worlds and feature traditional liturgy as well as ecstatic chant, yoga and meditation, joyous song and quiet contemplation.
-- Orthodox Minyan: A service filled with lively and inclusive prayer, in an environment with lots of singing, consistent with the tenets of traditional orthodox halakhah, containing a full mechitzah, male-led davening, and traditional liturgy.

* A full Shabbat dinner following services

* Also, Rabbi Deborah Waxman, Vice President for Governance at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College: "Underpinnings of Reconstructionist Judaism."
