Alternative Shabbat Service--Elyakeem Kinstlinger and Jody Teicher will lead an alternative Shabbat service drawing on inner dimensions of Jewish spirituality: Please join us in receiving the blessing of Shabbat through movement, song, mindfulness and meditation.
Jody Teicher teaches movement and meditation based on the energy of the Hebrew month. She takes joy in encouraging people as they discover their inner-gifts. She is currently developing a class on the art of blessing. Jody is an educator in the Great Neck, NY school system. She regularly davens at the Carlebach Shul. Elyakeem Kinstlinger loves touching peoples hearts with the blessings of Jewish practice inspired by The Baal Shem Tov. He has consulted on more than 50 Creative Jewish projects, davens at the Carlebach Shul and studies with The Tiferet Institute for Jewish Spirituality www.tiferet.org. See his Jewish communal work at www.YourSpark.com or join him at "New Shabbat Table!" The bi-monthly transdenominational Shabbat dinner he co-hosts.
Orthodox Minyan: This service strives to provide a lively and inclusive prayer environment with lots of singing, consistent with the tenets of traditional orthodox halakhah, containing a full mechitzah, male-led davening, and traditional liturgy.
Kehilat Romemu is New York's inspirational, Kabbalistic, transdenominational, integral congregation. Romemu seeks to integrate body, heart, mind and spirit in Jewish practice. Unabashedly eclectic, our services reflect the Kabbalistic model of the four worlds and feature traditional liturgy as well as ecstatic chant, yoga and meditation, joyous song and quiet contemplation.
Traditional Egalitarian Minyan: We are thrilled to host Kehilat Hadar, which will be organizing our traditional egalitarian service for our June 22 event. This service follows the traditional Conservative liturgy, encouraging lots of spirited singing while fostering the full participation of men and women in all aspects of prayer.
